For my latest testing for Kelly Peloza‘s upcoming desserts’ cookbook, I (or I should say my husband) decided to make her recipe for Kahlua Glazed Donuts! And yes, Kahlua IS vegan!
Since my SO has earned quite the reputation for donut-making in our town, I left the preparation and frying up to him. I partook in the tasting and ingredient checking. Needless to say these donuts were delicious! Even before the ganache was added, just the donuts and glaze themselves were divine. The ganache could have used a bit more Kahlua to get the needed effect, but overall these were wonderful. All of his non-vegan coworkers devoured them and gave good reports. These would have gone nicely with a cup of coffee or tea.
